The Toronto Art Photography Festival is here again. A HUGE annual event showcasing a variety of photographic styles and expressions. If you are anywhere near Toronto over the next month and have an interest in photography you owe it to yourself to check out some of these exhibits.
We tend to gravitate to art we know and love. And that’s cool to a point. Challenge yourself. Go see at least one exhibit you’re not certain about at all. See if you can see what the artist is expressing. Pushing our boundaries, our comfort zone this way is, in truth, an easy way to expand our horizons ultimately making us better image makers.
Here’s a link with a compilation of the exhibits coming up. Revisit it on occasion to see what’s changed. Sign up for their newsletter to keep abreast of what’s going on. There are presentations around every exhibit where you can dive into someone’s interpretation of the work presented.
It’s an exciting time my fellow photogs!
